What is Remote Support?

Remote Support is a new service from Cool IT Support. By downloading a small file and running it on your computer one of our engineers can connect to your computer remotely - as if he were sat in front of it.

Why Remote Support?

Remote Support may be able to help you.

All our technicians are based in the UK
and have English as their first language.

Using industry standard software we remotely and securely access your PC as if we are sitting in front of it. Our engineers will chat to you to explain what they are doing.

Once we are finished the software uninstalls itself automatically.

All this for the same amount it takes to call many PC Repair helplines!

How does it work?

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Contact us to arrange a remote support ticket and arrange payment.
  2. Our enginer will send you a website link - by email, Skype, Windows Live Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger or Yahoo Messenger.
  3. Click the link to open the page and follow the instructions to download the Remote Support application and run it.

Once our engineer has connected to you he can communicate to you using our built-in chat system.

Our software runs on all Windows operating systems including Vista.

What kind of problems can you fix?

We can generally fix the following problems:

      • Email Problems
      • Viruses
      • Adware
      • Spyware
      • Malware
      • Non-Network Driver issues
      • Software Installation
      • Software Configuration
      • And many more...

Please note that the computer with the problem must be able to start up into Windows and be connected to the Internet.

If you cannot start Windows or connect to the Internet you will need to request an onsite visit.

Just contact us and we will be able to advise you if Remote Support is appropriate.

How much does it cost?

All time is charged at £1 per minute.

Please note that this is a similar charge to some popular computer support telephone helplines. The difference is that we will actaully solve your problem as if we are sat in front of your computer!

How do I Pay?

You can pay directly into our PayPal account. We do not currently take card payments in any other way. Unfortunately we must take payment before work commences to avoid fraudulant use of our service.
